Pakistan came into existence on 14th August, 1947, getting emancipation from British rule
and breaking away from India as an independent, sovereign nation. The Pakistani border
touches India on the East, Afghanistan in the North and North-West, China in the North-West
and North-East and Iran in the West. The total area of Pakistan is 796,098,66 square
kilometers, so it is not a small country. The population of Pakistan is around 120 million.
Urdu is the national language of Pakistan. However, English is widely used as medium of
expression for trade, commerce and official purposes, as well as medium of instruction
in numerous primary and almost all higher educational institutions.
Pakistan comprises of four provinces (states) Punjab, Sindh, North West Frontier Province
and Balochistan. Pakistan has the second highest mountain peak in the word K-2, which is
